What difficulties did you face at the beginning of your career?
Working on projects I didn’t enjoy. And working long hours for such projects.
What should a young designer do in order not to get hired by anybody?
Why would anyone want to not get hired? I don’t get this question.
Are there any things you wish you knew at the beginning of your career?
Work on personal projects as much as possible because they’re fun and they lead me amazing opportunities both personally and professionally.
Are there any rules or habits that help you do your job more efficiently?
Listen.
Would you recommend some books that young designers might find useful?
Far Side  and Calvin and Hobbes.
